Our Team
Dave's background includes many years in the transport and airline industry with extensive experience in sales & marketing, operations and strategic planning. Past companies include Best Express Kamloops, BC; Phoenix Truck & Crane Vancouver, BC and WestJet Airlines Calgary, AB. Dave also enjoys inflicting country music on the rest of the team when he's in the office. His motto is: "I own the radio, I get to choose the tunes!"
David McMillen
Founder & Managing Director
After leaving school Colin started out as a trainee motor engineer for a Vauxhall main dealer. He also gained experience in the cost office and sales departments before assisting in the setting up and running one of the first Vauxhall Car Rental sites in the USA. He was with the Wisden magazine under various owners for nearly 20 years. He also spent a short time working on a freelance basis in the cricket, sport and leisure markets before joining United States Mail Service . Colin is also affectionately know as 'Granddad' as he's the most 'senior' member of the team

Dal brings 12 years of experience in road and airfreight transport along with 15 years of accounting and customer service experience to United States Mail Service . Dal started out as an apprentice in accounting and airfreight with International Bonded Couriers Inc. After finishing his studies, he progressed to Assistant Finance Manager setting up controls for airfreight billing and was solely responsible for taking the company from a manual to a fully computerised system. Dal also likes to crank up the heat in the office and sit right next to the heater. We think he's part cat.

Andrea has been with United States Mail Service many years and has had great success in helping to maintain the company's financial well-being. Andrea is fully accredited with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers. She also brings a cheerful smile to her post each and every time she's in the office. Andrea also enjoys hot drinks made by her colleagues during breaks - except from Dave. And she won't tell him why either.

Joana is the most recent member to join the United States Mail Service family. Before deciding to move to the United Kingdom from Portugal, Joana graduated in Business Communication and took an Internship at Walt Disney World in Orlando. Joana brings 8 years of experience in the customer service industry and 3 in the secretarial industry. Joana’s last job, before joining United States Mail Service was as a secretary and PA to the Director of a major Debt Collection Agency in Portugal. Joana also speaks several languages making her United States Mail Service 's resident linguist. None of us owe her any lunch money either due to her past experience as a debt collector.

Joanne brings close to 25 years of business management experience to United States Mail Service . Joanne previously owned and managed a commercial and residential cleaning business for many years. She brings business management, financial control and recruitment experience to her post as well as an excellent approach to customer service. Joanne has studied to keep abreast of current taxation and employee related issues, and works closely with the rest of the directors to ensure that the financial side of the business runs in the most efficient manner possible. She also likes to turn off Dal's heater at lunchtime almost everyday. Even in summer.

Julie has recently joined United States Mail Service as our AP clerk. Julie brings a wealth of experience and financial acumen to her role. Past experience includes an high-level account position at Oracle USA. Julie is too new at United States Mail Service to have any vices. Yet.
